Cooking Lab - Stir-fried Snake Beans and Fishcake Appetizer Side dish (下酒小菜 - 魚板炒長豆)

Korean fish cakes are so versatile, there are many different types of fishcake. This recipe works well with any flat sheet style of fishcake. They are great with stir-fried vegetables.

This is a really quick, simple and delicious tapas dish. 
It goes really nicely with an icy cold drink. 



Ingredients:

300g snake beans 
100g fish cakes 
50g bacon 
50ml oyster sauce 
20ml light soy sauce 
30ml cooking oil 
Salt and pepper 


Instructions:

1. Slice snake beans, bacon and fish cakes into small equal pieces.

2. Heat oil in the fry pan on medium heat. Wait until it starts to smoke.

3. Saute the bacon pieces till fragrant.

4. Shallow stir fry the fish cake pieces for 1-2 minutes until brown and push to the side.

5. Add in the snake beans.

6. Add pepper and soy sauce and stir-fry for a minute.

7. Add oyster sauce and stir-fry for another 30 seconds.

8. Check seasoning.

9. Serve on small tasting plate.

10. Accompany with some beer nuts.

11. A perfect Friday night dish.
