Cooking Lab - Kransky and Haloumi Skewers Salad

Madness Midweek!

A busy busy week with crazy schedules. Happily to say: All Accompolished!

But what to have for brunch when I want something light while Picky P wants something meaty and filling?

Solution: Tonight I am making a light refreshing garden salad. This salad is a real treat, combining mini cheesy kransky sausages and grilled haloumi cheese cubes on a bed of fresh garden salad.

A gorgeous salad plate, even the pickiest person would want to give it a go.

A meal is quality time with family and friends and not spend in the kitchen slaving away like an indentured servant.

Therefore, I feel, cooking should be minimal fuss with simple preparation. Of course, they will have to deliver taste sensation - or else, what is the point?!

This dish deliver exactly that!

Ingredients:

- 200g Gotzinger Cheese Kransky
- 250g Haloumi Cheese cubed
- 250g Loose Garden Salad
- 1 Truss Tomato
- 1 French Onion
- 1 can Sweet corn kernels
- 3 tablespoon Kewpie's Deep Roasted seasme dressing
- 1 tablespoon olive oil

The versatile Haloumi cheese and could hold its shape when grilled or fried.
Instructions:

1. Wash the gourmet mixed salad, Drain and allow to dry.

2. Place tomato slices, corn kernel and sesame dressing toss to combine.

3. Add 1 tablespoon of oil In a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat.

4.Fry the mini cheese kransky chorizo on each side. Remove from the heat.

5. Using the same fry pan, fry the haloumi cheese slices until golden on each side.

6. Thread kransky sausage, haloumi cubes onto 12 skewers.

7. Distribute the salad and tomato slices equally between the four plates.

8. Dress each salad with a small tablespoon of roasted sesame salad dressing.

9. Top with a handful of sweet corn kernels.

10. Garnish with French onion slices (optional).

11. Serve 3 kransky-haloumi skewers on top of each individual salad plate. Lightly drizzle with lemon juice.
The best of both worlds.

We enjoyed the salad but the skewers were the biggest hit!

They work well as simple snack and BBQ. The combination of salty Kransky sausages reinforce the simple Haloumi cheese. Very nice~!

This salad is fairly easy to prepare and it is delicious to have at all occasions. Perfect with BBQ.

Look at this colourful salad? Don't you just want to dig in?
